My quirky family

Today we buried Pop (Uncle Freddie). We, meaning my sisters and I, have always called him Pop. In fact, I believe the entire family called him Pop. He was always Pop and it was an endearment.
Losing someone usually means throwing two or three generations of people together. And with a family like ours it soon becomes a family reunion of sorts. How many times do we say that we are going to get together and life has a way of creeping in and we get lost within our own responsibilites of simply one day at a time. I don't want to do that anymore. I want us to sit around the table and talk about old times and laugh as we have never laughed before. Time is but a vapor.
Here is my lesson for today. Here's a news flash. If ever I had doubted it I don't anymore. My quirky family has my back!!! And that's enough for me!!!
