Chase The Cookie Snatcher

Well, Chase finally pulled it off. And he did it with such finesse that Chelsea and I were momentarily dumbfounded. After getting ready to retire for the evening Chase gets his little piece of chicken with ½ of a pepcid and Chelsea gets a cookie. They know the drill and wait eagerly for their treat. After all, there had been some drastic changes made after Chase went through surgery after that acute bout of Pancreantitis. He is on a special diet and believe me when I say; there is no deviating from the plan.
Last night Chase was feeling his oats. Not only did he spit out the pill his first go around but he got another small piece of chicken out of the deal. When it was Chelsea’s turn for her cookie I gave it to her and in a blink of an eye the cookie was in Chase’s mouth. Chelsea is looking around and Chase jumped on the couch getting ready to chow down.
I try to get the cookie but Chase has it so far back in his throat that not a crumb would escape and he was not giving it up without a fight. I know when I lost a fight as I’d rather him eat the danged cookie rather than choke on it which he did rather happily.
Tom and I were looking at each other in total disbelief. The moment the cookie was finished Chase looked at me and did show some remorse. He knew what he had done was wrong and quickly tried to apologize. Of course I would have melted had I not called Chelsea for her cookie when he perked up and tried to come into the kitchen to snatch another. I could hardly believe my eyes and that’s when I know beyond the shadow of a doubt, that pup has me wrapped.

Take Note Men: 9 WORDS WOMEN USE

I think all of you ladies are really going to enjoy this... Don't ask where I got it. It was in my file titled "Tossed Into The Mix" I guess that says it all. ENJOY, and it's okay to laugh out loud... LOL

Take Note Men: 9 WORDS WOMEN USE

1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4. Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5. Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6. That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7. Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.

8. Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F@!K YOU!

9. Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, “What's wrong?” For the woman's response refer to #3.
